# Message campaigns

> Schedule one-time or recurring SMS and email campaigns for selected subscriber audiences.

# Schedule subscriber messages

Open **Communications → Message campaigns**. This tool is for scheduled SMS/email, not captive banners.

## Required fields

* Name: required, maximum 120 characters.
* Channel: SMS or Email.
* Email subject: required for Email, maximum 255.
* Message: required, 1–1,600 characters.
* Audience type: Everyone, Segments, Mikrotiks, or Specific users.
* Scheduled time: required.
* Audience selection: required when the type is not Everyone.

Optional recurrence ends must be after the scheduled start.

## Recurrence

Current options are one-time, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and holiday (annually). Choose the rule whose calendar semantics match the message. Set an end when the campaign should not continue indefinitely.

## Create safely

1. Give the campaign an internal name describing purpose/audience.
2. Select SMS or Email and configure the corresponding provider first.
3. For Email, write a subject suitable for every selected recipient.
4. Choose the smallest correct audience.
5. Insert only supported variables and preview representative output.
6. Set schedule and recurrence in the account timezone.
7. Review consent, cost, and operational impact.
8. Save and confirm status/scheduled time in the campaign list.

## Editing and deletion

Editing an upcoming recurring campaign affects later dispatches according to its current schedule. Before changing audience or message, confirm whether an earlier run has already been sent. Delete only when future sends should stop and history retention is not required; pausing/status behavior shown by the current list should be preferred when available.

## Avoid duplicate sends

Do not create a second campaign merely because an immediate status is unclear. Check scheduled time, recurrence, sent/failed counts, queue/provider state, and the existing campaign record first.
