**Name** is required (maximum 160 characters). Optional fields include description (maximum 2,000), serial number/model (maximum 120 each), type, non-negative price, non-negative amount paid, status, and subscriber assignment.

1. Choose **Add equipment**.
2. Enter a recognizable name, type, model, and serial number.
3. Record price and amount collected using the account currency.
4. Choose status and the subscriber when assigned/sold.
5. Add a factual description for condition/accessories where useful.
6. Save and verify it appears in the matching status tab.

## Operational rules

* Do not mark equipment assigned without selecting the correct subscriber where assignment is tracked.
* Update returned/damaged state promptly so stock totals remain useful.
* Serial numbers should be copied exactly and searched before creating another record.
* Equipment payment fields are inventory context; use the formal payment/invoice workflow for customer financial records when required.
* Before deleting, confirm the item is not needed for subscriber history, warranty, or reconciliation.
