What customers see when they buy

Your customers see your plans in two places:
  • The hotspot buy page (captive portal). Hotspot customers land here when they join your Wi-Fi. It lists plans they can pay for, and login, voucher, and free-trial options.
  • The customer portal. Subscribers sign in, then use Top up to buy a plan and Packages to see the plans on their account.
Both pages build their list from Network → Plans. Nothing is copied by hand, so a change to a plan shows on the pages within about a minute.

Which plans appear

Each plan has an Availability setting on its form: On top of that, each page has its own rules. Hotspot buy page
  • Shows Hotspot and data bundle plans, a free-trial option if you have a trial plan, and TV plans when the visitor is a TV.
  • Shows only plans allowed on the router the customer is connected through. A plan limited to other routers does not appear. A plan limited only to routers that no longer exist is flagged Off portal on the Plans list and appears nowhere.
  • Hides a plan outside its schedule window, if you turned on a schedule for it.
  • Lists plans in the order you set on the Plans page, then by price.
  • Shows the plan name, price, duration, speed, data limit, and description, with Popular and On offer highlights where the theme supports them.
Customer portal Top up
  • PPPoE subscribers see Live PPPoE plans. Everyone else sees Live Hotspot, bundle, trial, and TV plans.
  • Router limits and schedules are not applied here.
  • Plans are listed from cheapest to most expensive.

See the page yourself

  • Hotspot buy page: open Settings → Hotspot and use the theme preview. It shows your real plans and branding, with buying and login switched off so you can click around safely.
  • Customer portal: sign in to the portal with a test subscriber account.

A plan is missing

  1. Open the plan and check that Availability is Live.
  2. On the buy page, check that the plan is allowed on the router the customer is using and that its schedule, if any, covers the current time.
  3. In the portal, check the subscriber’s type. A PPPoE subscriber never sees hotspot plans, and the other way round.
  4. If the whole buy page shows “Network maintenance” instead of plans, the router is in maintenance mode.
